Art Nouveau was a popular artistic style from circa 1893 to 1910. Such was its' popularity that Art Nouveau Jewellery items became very popular around the turn of the 20th century.
Art Nouveau Rings, Necklaces, Earrings and Brooches often have characteristic 'whiplash' curves, and use nature as inspiration by incorporating such imagery as dragonflies, flowing water and flowers.
The use of enamel was also a popular feature of Art Nouveau period Jewellery along with different gemstones such as opal, amethyst, citrine and peridot.
